School Social workers are a part of the school system to support students in their education and personal growth to help create the best learning opportunity possible. The school social worker at Bendix Elementary is Amy Miller. The social worker provides a variety of services to students, parents, and staff. Amy provides direct services to individuals, groups, and classrooms. A variety of support groups are offered throughout the year, topics include, but are not limited to: grief, problem solving, and self-esteem. Amy is also on-hand to provide parents with consultation, support, and community resource information. School social workers serve as a link between school, home, and community.
