GERMAN 2: 3 Credits
Course No.: 164, 166 1 Semester
Grade Level: 9-12
Prerequisite: German 1
NOTE: All students who intend to complete their two years of a World Language in the German Department should plan to take this class during the Fall 2011 Semester. After Fall 2011, this class will be removed from the course listings.
Description: German II will continue to develop the five world language skills. Activities will be similar to those used in German I, but with added stress on mastery and fluency. Students will begin to build more elegant sentence structures and learn how to use the past tenses of verbs. They will discuss topics such as careers and chores (such as cooking an authentic German meal!), expressing emotions, going out and having a good time, planning trips and vacations, environmental issues, etc. Students should expect to advance to the intermediate level of fluency by the end of German II.
